Display and design
The Canvas 6 is the first smartphone from Micromax to come encased in a metallic body. The premium-looking handset dons a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels (full HD). It operates on Android v5.1 (Lollipop) platform with Around UI loaded on top.
Configuration
The Micromax Canvas 6 is equipped with an octa-core Mediatek processor and 3GB RAM. This powerful combination results into an absolutely brilliant performance, even when exposed to heavy usage. The smartphone comes loaded with 32GB worth of internal memory which can be further expanded upto 64GB with the help of a microSD card.
Connectivity and sensors
The connectivity features of the Micromax Canvas 6 include dual SIM support, Wi-Fi with Hotspot, 4G connectivity, Bluetooth and GPS. It is also loaded with a whole bunch of sensors including Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer etc. In addition, this also is the first Micromax phone to feature a fingerprint sensor boosting its security options. Although unlike many device in its range it lacks Gyroscope so people wanting to immerse themselves into the Virtual Reality might give it a miss.
Camera and battery
The Micromax Canvas 6 features a 13MP main camera accompanied by an 8MP front camera. The main camera comes equipped with an LED flash and has an Aperture of 2.0F which gives it a decent performance even in low lighting conditions.
The device is fuelled by a 3000mAh li-polymer non-removable battery granting it a pretty good battery life.

Verdict

Micromax attempts to reestablish its dominance in mid-range mobile segment with the launch of the Canvas 6. Being a flagship device, it offers a huge range of specification some of which are first time included in any Micromax device. Although it's not without its small drawbacks, but all other features combined makes it among the best in its range.
